An early 20th century sterling silver 'squeeze' tobacco or snuff box. Of round form with hinged, sprung lid opening when the sides of the body are squeezed. In excellent condition with all over engine turned concentric circle design with central nicely engraved monogram to lid JTC. Lid closes flush and tight and with good spring, original internal gilding, some light wear and small dings to exterior but excellent overall. Hallmarked Birmingham, 1903 by maker Cornelium Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd. 7.5cm diameter x approx 2.5cm high. 81.5g.
